PowerMon II - UPS Monitoring and Shutdown [Systems Enhancement Corporation US (SEC)]

PowerMon II is award-winning UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply)monitoring and system shutdown software for any operating system.PowerMon II runs as a background task monitoring the UPS for an AC powerfailure or low battery condition. In the event of a power disturbance,PowerMon II will perform a graceful unattended system shutdown. Whenpower has failed, a message is broadcast to all logged users indicatingthat the server is operating on battery power. If power is not restored,the shutdown timer expires and PowerMon II initiates an orderly servershutdown. If the UPS shows a low battery signal, a message is broadcastindicating that the batteries are critically low. PowerMon II will thenoverride the countdown timer and perform an immediate orderly systemshutdown. PowerMon II contains an on-screen power history graph toprovide information on past power disturbances over a 24-hour, 31-dayperiod. It also allows users to be notified by modem or pager in theevent of a power failure, UPS low battery condition, or when systemshutdown time has arrived. Users also are notified through an on-screencountdown timer about the amount of time remaining before system shutdownwill occur. PowerMon II has easy menu-driven installation and can becustomized by modifying broadcast messages and by adding routines to berun at specific power occurences.
